2025 Year in Review: What We Built, What Improved, and What’s Next

As we head into 2026, I wanted to pause and share a quick look back at what 2025 meant for Intelligent Payroll and the businesses we support.

Payroll can look transactional from the outside. But the reality is simple: behind every run is a person, a family, and a team relying on things being done properly and on time. That responsibility never leaves our minds.

2025 was a year of steady growth, meaningful improvements, and a lot of learning. We’re proud of what we delivered, and even more excited about what we’re building next.

The Year in Numbers

In 2025, we processed £81.2 million in wages, up from £75.7 million in 2024. That’s a 7.3% increase.

Growth for the sake of it is not the goal. But growth like this tells us something important: more employers are choosing a payroll partner they can trust, and existing clients are staying with us as their own businesses grow.

We also welcomed 100+ new clients last year. Many joined through recommendations from existing customers, and that matters to us more than any marketing metric. It’s a sign that the service is working in the real world.

What We Improved in 2025

A big focus for us last year was improving the experience you have with Intelligent Payroll, especially in the moments that matter most: support, clarity, and confidence when deadlines are close.

Here are a few of the improvements we made in 2025:

  • Faster support, with response times tracked and monitored so we can keep improving turnaround

  • More webinars and clearer communication, focused on helping employers stay ahead of payroll changes and understand what they mean in practice

We’re also close to releasing a few updates that we believe will make a noticeable difference for clients in 2026:

  • A new Knowledge Base that makes it easier to find answers quickly

  • More video tutorials covering common tasks and questions

  • More step-by-step guides designed to make payroll feel simpler and more predictable

Every improvement has had the same goal: to make payroll faster, clearer and more reliable for the businesses that rely on us.

Our Community and Our Team

2025 was also a year where we took steps to invest in the community around us. We began sponsoring our local under-11s football team, which has been a joy to be involved with. Supporting young people locally is something we want to build on in 2026.

We also grew our internal team so we can keep improving service levels as our client base expands.

Looking Ahead to 2026

We’re going into 2026 with momentum.

One of the biggest updates is our partnership with YuLife, a global wellbeing platform. The aim is simple: to bring additional benefits and discounts to clients, and to make it easier for employers to support employee wellbeing without adding admin. We’ll share more detail soon.
